Group Policy (GPO) - Force an update on a machine

Many organisations use Group Policy (GPO) to automatically deploy software updates to machines on a network.

Normally, GPO updates when the user logs in.

So, if you have not logged off and logged in again recently,
then your machine may be out of date.

To force GPO to update on your machine, run the following command on the command line:

 gpupdate /force
